A Very Christmassy Post

Since I have been completely non existent on the blog front as of late (I have a new job, what do you want from me??), I figured that I would post a new blog with all of the pictures from the past three or four weeks.

BTW: Liam turned 18 months! Big boy!!!!

This was from the Festival of Trees that we had at the Providence Convention Center. My advice - Don't go. It's expensive and doesn't have that much to do. And please note how we're not wearing coats - It's been SO WARM lately. Not like Christmas at all. Also notice how Liam looks like he's screaming - that's because he is.

Also at Le Festival du Trees - Liam LOVED the carosel, even though this photo would beg otherwise. He would go "whee!" and "Wow!" when we were going around. Emma liked it too!

Liam looking up at the Christmas tree. I needed a somewhat artsy photo.
Liam putting the first ornament on the tree. Now, can you tell that this is a fake tree? I think it's awesome. I was completely ANTI-fake tree, but decided to go for, since I figured that Liam would alternate between knocking over a real tree (and thereby spilling water everywhere) and eating the needles. So far, Liam just occassionally stares at the tree (it's pretty!) or goes up and rings a bell - one of the ornaments we put specifically at Liam level, so that he could entertain himself.

Liam has issues with food - much like his mother. We figured that if we made spaghetti fun, he might be more willing to eat it. No go, but he did think that it was hilarious when we threw it on his head!

Liam is distinctly anti-Santa when it comes to sitting on laps, but if you ask him "What does Santa say?" he will sometimes response with "ho!" Don't question the fact that it sounds an awful lot like his response to what a dog and/or monkey says.

This was at the Citizens children's Christmas party. He was absolutely INSANE the entire time that we were there. My mom had to wait in line for approximately FOREVER (almost two hours) to see Santa and Liam RAN around Rhodes on the Pawtuxet the entire time. He also discovered and affinity for climbing stairs that I can give or take. I had to keep him from getting to the top of the stairs, where there was a balcony, so that I could help him live til his 18 month birthday. We survived. Barely.

This is Liam resting after running around Rhodes constantly for two hours. He ate cheese "cheeeez!" and juice "juuuus!" Really, he is my son. He likes bread, cheese, grilled cheese, milk, juice, water, crackers, bananas, and waffles. Other than that, he pretty much wrinkles his nose at food. But he's my son - so what are you going to do??

I'll post again after Christmas, once I get more fun photos. I want to wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!! And hopefully I'll see most of the people that actually read this blog very soon!! Except Iris - but I'll see you in May!
